Flower Wood Frame

Supplies Needed:

Darice

  • Darice Art, craft and Photo Frame 8x10”
  • Darice Finishing Accents Paper Petals
  • Darice Ultimate Rhinestones
  • Darice White Tulle Circles

Viva Decor

  • VIVA Decor Inka Gold, color Gold #901
  • VIVA Decor Inka Gold, color Platinum #904
  • VIVA Decor Pearl Pen, color Cream #102
  • VIVA Decor Glitter Liner, color Gold #901

Tools:

  • Sponges
  • Glue
  • Old plate for working
  • Crepe tape (weakly adhesive)

 

Step 1


Protect part of your frame with crepe tape adhesive. Simply apply the first color of VIVA Decor Inka Gold (Color Gold) with a sponge and polish with a gentle rubbing action. Carefully pull off the crepe tape. Wait for 2 hours to continue with step 2.

 

Step 2


Now protect the dried Inka Gold colored  portions of the frame with the crepe tape and add the second color of VIVA Decor Inka Gold (Color Platinum) the same way like described under step 1 carefully pull off the crepe tape.

 

Step 3:


Easily apply some half-round pearl droplets with VIVA Decor Pearl Pen (Color Cream) directly out of the pen. For a nice effect vary with the size of the pearls from bigger to smaller ones.

 

Step 4


Put some VIVA Decor Glitter Liner (color gold) out onto an old plate, take a sponge and carefully dab it  in the color and then a few times on the plate to spread it on your sponge. Decorate the paper flowers with the shimmering glitter look, by softly dabbing the color with a sponge on the flower from inside to outside. Let them dry.

Finishing:
Glue the decorated paper flowers together with some tulle on top of the frame,  for the final look add some colored rhinestones.

 

Helpful Hits

Making Pearl Droplets:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface and squeeze the tube slowly until you reach desired size. Practice until you have consistent results. Droplet may look pointy at first but will subside into dome shape.
