How to make a Votive Candle Cup
Supplies Needed:
Darice:
- Darice 2 ½” votive candle cup
- Darice Just Enough! Accents Ribbon White
- Darice rhinestone
Viva Decor:
- VIVA Decor Precious Metal Color, color Mother of Pearl #101
- VIVA Decor Pearl Pen, color Ice white #101
- self adhesive stencil from the VIVA Decor line “MyPaperWorld”
Tools:
- 1” square sponge
- Plate or pallette
- Masking tape
- Glue
Step 1:
Apply a flexible, self adhesive stencil on the clean votive candle cup. Protect the non image area with masking tape. Pour a small amount of Precious Metal Color, mother of pearl on a paper plate or palette. Using a sponge, gently dab until the color is evenly saturated on the sponge. Gently apply the highly pigmented liquid VIVA Decor Precious Metal Color with the sponge on the stencil.
Step 2:
Peel off the stencil, while the color is still wet. Clean the stencil immediately with clear water and blot it dry.
Step 3:
Make a few half-round pearl droplets with VIVA Decor Pearl Pen ice white .( see note before for making pearl droplets) Let dry and decorate with Darice Just Enough! Accents Ribbon, (Color White).
Step 4:
To give an elegant look to the Votive Candle Cup add one or more self-adhesive rhinestones

Making Pearl Droplets:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface and squeeze the tube slowly until you reach desired size. Practice until you have consistent results. Droplet may look pointy at first but will subside into dome shape.
Making Fine Lines:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface. Squeeze the tube slowly while drawing a line or pattern. Practice until you have consistent results.
