How to make Spring Butterfly Jar

Supplies needed:
- Darice 3” inch Glass Jar w/ Snap Lid
- VIVA Decor Glitter Liner, color Silver #902
- VIVA Decor Glitter Liner, color Gold # 901
- VIVA Decor Pearl Pen, color Gold #901
- Self adhesive stencil from the VIVA Decor line “My Paper World”
- 3 Paper Flowers
- 1” Square sponge
- palette knife
- Darice rhinestone
- Glue
- paper plate or palette
Memo: For best result, keep the glass surface dirt and grease free.
Step 1

Squeeze a small amount of VIVA Decor Glitter Liner Silver onto a plate. Gently dab with a sponge square until the color is evenly saturated. Apply to the lid of jar, achieving a shimmering surface by dabbing on the color with the sponge. Let dry.
Step 2

Apply a self-adhesive stencil on the surface of jar and fill the stencil with Glitter Liner gold. Smooth over with a palette knife. Peel off the stencil, while the color is still wet. Clean the stencil immediately with water and blot.
Step 3

Squeeze a small amount of VIVA Decor Glitter Liner Gold onto a plate. Gently dab with a sponge square until the color is evenly saturated. Apply Glitter Liner gently by dabbing with sponge from the underside to the outer side of petals. Let dry.
Step 4

Decorate the top of the glass with the paper flower: Fold 1 flower in half and 2nd flowers to a quarter and glue them together. Apply a few half-round pearl droplets with the VIVA Decor Pearl Pen gold. Let it dry. Add a self-adhesive rhinestone to the middle of the flower.
Helpful Hits
Making Pearl Droplets:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface and squeeze the tube slowly until you reach desired size. Practice until you have consistent results. Droplet may look pointy at first but will subside into dome shape.
Using a Stencil:
Place self-adhesive stencil onto clean surface. Fill the opening with pen and smooth with palette knife. Then carefully remove stencil and let dry.
Making Fine Lines:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface. Squeeze the tube slowly while drawing a line or pattern. Practice until you have consistent results.
