Votive Candle Cup

Supplies Needed:

Darice:

  • Darice 2 ½” votive candle cup
  • Darice rhinestone

Viva Decor:

  • VIVA Decor Precious Metal Color, (Var. A color Silver #902/ Var. B color Gold Green #703)
  • VIVA Decor Pearl Pen, (Var. A color Ice white #101/ Var. B color Gold #901)
  • VIVA Decor Glitter Liner, (Var. A color Silver #902 / Var. B color Gold #901)

Tools:

  • #12 flat soft brush
  • masking tape

Our photos show color Var. A, if you like Var. B do the same steps with those colors

 

Step 1:

Protect the upper part of your votive candle cup with masking  tape. Gently apply the highly pigmented liquid VIVA Decor Precious Metal Color Silver with a #12 flat soft brush. Let dry.

Tip: to avoid streaks, brush in quick motion.

 

Step 2:

Carefully peel off the tape.

 

Step 3

Apply a few half-round pearl droplets with VIVA Decor Pearl Pen (Color Ice white). Let dry

 

Step 4:

Give a shimmering look to the votive candle cup with VIVA Decor Glitter Liner (color silver) and make some lines directly out of the pen. Let dry

 

Step 5

Apply a few more half-round pearl droplets with VIVA Decor Pearl Pen (Color Ice white).
Let dry
 

Helpful Hits

Making Pearl Droplets:
Hold pen in an upright position over clean surface and squeeze the tube slowly until you reach desired size. Practice until you have consistent results. Droplet may look pointy at first but will subside into dome shape.

Using a Stencil:
Place self-adhesive stencil onto clean surface. Fill the opening with pen and smooth with palette knife. Then carefully remove stencil and let dry.
